The things patients ask most often. Anything else, just call or message.
Where is the clinic and how do I book?
Consultations are in Kharar, Mohali, on Landran Road opposite Ambika Devi Mandir. Visits are by appointment only. Book on WhatsApp, by phone, or through the form on this page, and you will be given a confirmed time.
Do I need an appointment, or can I walk in?
Consultations are by appointment only, so please book before you travel to the clinic, as walk-ins cannot be accommodated. Booking takes a moment on WhatsApp, by phone, or through the form on this page, and you get a confirmed time back rather than having to wait.
What should I bring to the first consultation?
Bring any X-rays, MRI or CT scans you already have, the films or the CD rather than just the report, along with previous prescriptions and a list of medicines you take regularly. If your problem followed an injury, imaging taken at the time is especially useful.
Will I definitely need surgery?
No. A large part of any orthopaedic practice is treated without an operation, using physiotherapy, activity changes, injections or bracing. Surgery is discussed when those have been tried, or when the injury clearly needs it, and the reasoning is explained before anything is decided.
Can I get a second opinion on surgery already advised elsewhere?
Yes, second opinions are a routine part of the practice. Bring the imaging and any notes or plan you have been given, and you will get an honest read on whether the proposed operation is the right one, including when the answer is that it is.
How long is recovery after knee or shoulder surgery?
It depends on the procedure. Knee replacement patients are usually walking with support the same or the next day, and back to routine activity over six to twelve weeks. Arthroscopic shoulder repairs hurt less early on but need a longer protected phase, often a sling for four to six weeks and a graded programme over four to six months. Every plan is set individually.
Which areas do patients travel from?
The clinic is on Landran Road in Kharar and sees patients from across Mohali, Landran, Chandigarh, Panchkula and the surrounding districts of Punjab, as well as patients travelling in for a specific procedure or second opinion.
