Both are current. Solan runs on the first and third Thursday of each month, so an appointment there has to be booked for one of those dates.

Expertise
Procedures
he performs
Fellowship trained across joint replacement, arthroscopy and trauma in Mumbai, Chandigarh, Mohali and Seoul, including robotic and navigation-assisted knee and hip replacement.
Replacing a worn or arthritic knee joint with an implant, so you can walk and climb stairs without the pain that comes with bone rubbing on bone.
- Primary and complex cases, including severe deformity
- Experience with robotic and navigation-assisted techniques
- Published research on post-operative pain protocols
Resurfacing only the worn side of the knee and leaving the healthy cartilage and ligaments alone, when arthritis sits in one compartment.
- For arthritis confined to one side of the knee
- Keeps the cruciate ligaments and the healthy compartments
- Smaller operation, usually a quicker recovery than a full replacement
Realigning the shin bone to shift weight off a worn inner knee, keeping your own joint and pushing a replacement further into the future.
- For younger, active patients with wear on one side
- Keeps your own knee instead of replacing it
- Correction planned from full-length standing X-rays
Rebuilding the torn cruciate ligament that keeps the knee stable, a common injury in football, cricket and other pivoting sports.
- Soft tissue graft and hybrid tibial fixation techniques
- Meniscus repair in the same sitting where needed
- Research submitted on patient reported outcomes
Meniscus Surgery
Repairing or trimming a torn meniscus through keyhole surgery, chosen by where the tear sits and whether it can heal.
- Repair where the tear can heal, trimming where it cannot
- Often done alongside ACL reconstruction in the same sitting
- Day case surgery, usually within thirty to sixty minutes
Rotator Cuff Repair
Keyhole repair of the tendons around the shoulder, for the persistent pain and weakness that makes reaching overhead or sleeping difficult.
- Arthroscopic, so smaller cuts and quicker recovery
- Refined during shoulder fellowship in Seoul, South Korea
- Physiotherapy plan built around the repair
Shoulder Instability
Stabilising a shoulder that keeps slipping out of place, whether from a single bad dislocation or repeated episodes over the years.
- Repair for recurrent dislocation and labral tears
- Open reduction and plating for acute injuries
- Return to sport guidance after healing
Total Shoulder Replacement
Resurfacing an arthritic shoulder joint with an artificial ball and socket, for shoulders where the rotator cuff is still working.
- For arthritis with an intact, working rotator cuff
- Shoulder fellowship trained at SNU Bundang Hospital, South Korea
- Generally fuller rotation than a reverse replacement
Reverse Shoulder Replacement
A shoulder replacement that reverses the ball and socket, used when the rotator cuff is too damaged for a standard replacement to work.
- For cuff-deficient shoulders and complex fractures
- Shoulder fellowship trained at SNU Bundang Hospital, South Korea
- Restores overhead function where other options have failed
Replacing a damaged hip joint, usually after years of arthritis or following a fracture, to restore comfortable movement and weight bearing.
- Primary hip replacement for arthritis and post-injury damage
- Fellowship trained in joint replacement in Mumbai
- Structured rehabilitation planning after surgery

Call the clinicQuestions
Before you
come in
The things patients ask most often. Anything else, just call or message.
Where is the clinic and how do I book?
Consultations are in Kharar, Mohali, on Landran Road opposite Ambika Devi Mandir, and in Solan on the first and third Thursday of each month, when there is no Kharar clinic. Visits are by appointment only. Book on WhatsApp, by phone, or through the form on this page, and you will be given a confirmed time and place.
Do I need an appointment, or can I walk in?
Consultations are by appointment only, so please book before you travel to the clinic, as walk-ins cannot be accommodated. Booking takes a moment on WhatsApp, by phone, or through the form on this page, and you are given a confirmed time, so there is no waiting around at the clinic.
Do you offer online or video consultations?
Yes. A video consultation works for a first assessment, for a second opinion, and for going through MRI or X-ray reports if you live outside the area or cannot travel easily. Book it the same way as a clinic visit and you will be sent a time. Some problems cannot be settled without a hands-on examination, and if yours is one of them, you will be told so.
What should I bring to the first consultation?
Bring the actual films or the CD from any X-ray, MRI or CT you have had, not only the printed report, because the images carry more than the summary does. Add your previous prescriptions, a list of the medicines you take regularly, and the discharge summary if you have been operated on before. If your problem followed an injury, imaging taken at the time is especially useful.
Can I get a second opinion on surgery already advised elsewhere?
Yes, second opinions are a routine part of the practice. Bring the imaging and any notes or plan you have been given, and you will be told whether the proposed operation is the right one, including when it is.
Which insurance panels and payment options are accepted for surgeries?
Surgery is covered under ESI, the Punjab Government and Himachal Pradesh Government schemes, ECHS for ex-servicemen and their families, and the major private insurance TPAs, both cashless and by reimbursement. What you are covered for depends on your own policy and on the hospital where the operation is done, so eligibility is confirmed and pre-authorisation started before a date is fixed, never left to the day itself. Paying directly is equally straightforward, and you are given a written estimate of the full cost before anything is scheduled. The clinic desk works through the paperwork with you.
